Aronowitz’s self-education as an artist evolved with forays into metal work, glassmaking, woodworking, concrete, tile, stone, and multimedia sculpture. The design and fabrication of highly sculptural, hand-crafted bespoke furniture is created from a new innovative industrial material- Concrete Canvas. Aronowitz has innovated and advanced the medium of Concrete Canvas in art and design worldwide. The Concrete Canvas Collection has won numerous design awards including Interior Design Magazine Best of Year for residential furniture.

Aronowitz marked his entry into limited-edition sculptural furniture with the Whorl Console, Whorl Coffee Table, and the Enso table. This limited-edition furniture collection is inspired by the fusion of art and industry. These works, as a sort of visual or “concrete poetry”, explores a deep, timeless aesthetic connection to Nature’s circuitous forms.

The Concrete Canvas Collection is a series of exclusive pieces designed in the Portland design studio and requiring as much as 125 hours of hand touched labor, exclusively by artisan Neal Aronowitz. Making real art is a time-honored tradition where every piece, reflects the artist’s vision, mastery, and attention to detail.

These hand-crafted bespoke art pieces are signed and numbered in a worldwide limited-edition series of ninety-nine, with three artist proofs accompanied by a “Letter of Authenticity”, documenting the provenance.
